Hello
New around here and would like some help. Having a Dodge Caravan SE 2003, lately not being able to keep running after starting it up.
By not running after starting it up... after I crank it, it give a bad idling (even giving gas), the oil light come on after then stall.
Same thing in the morning. Engine light will come up asap after stall.
Here are the 3 codes:
P1478 - Battery temp sensor volts out of limit
P0118 - Engine coolant temp. circuit high input
P0203 - Injector circuit open / cylinder 3
Another thing that was coming up was low emission on cat. converter.
My guess for the battery part should be a bad battery. The other 2, I not sure exactly what to say but it's really hot outside and being out in the sun, it's gonna make something hot under the hood.
Thanks.

Replaced Oxygen2 Sensor around 2011
Replaced Map sensor about a month ago. (This 1 was a hassle. Replaced alternator, fuel pump, fuel injector, tried testing with a new PCM (which was returned), and another wiring.)

Found this, which leads me to think your P1478 and P0118 are being caused by the same thing.
P0118: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0118
P0203: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0203
Hope that helps. Good luck!

4th generation van fuel injector harnesses have had a history of melting. ECT and MAP sensor wires run through the same harness. Here's a thread that speaks all about it with pics: http://forum.chryslerminivan.net/sho...wn-and-Country

Thank you, I been trying to look into these as much as I can. Sorry for taking a bit for responding. When I get back, hopefully with the result.

Been on/off for awhile... pretty much lost track b/c of being busy. Now I'm back for more help. So the van wouldn't start... and I get these codes:
P0123
P0118
P1193
Any idea?

No battery replaced since... but did replace the MAP sensor. It just lately I got this.
But however the wiring, all the insulation (almost, 80%) from harness is gone.
Then error codes came up. I didn't touch the wires, but my cousin did (he is the owner of the vehicle and we both drive it).
