Thanks for the tip, that still could be the case, but hopefully not. There was some dripping but I thought it was coming from the bottom area of the pan. But I also saw some up near the top of the pan below the solenoid area. So you might be right?
If it is, is there a gasket behind the solenoid pack?
How is it sealed?
Can the solenoid pack be removed without draining the transmission?
Do you know what the torque settings are for the mounting bolts for the solenoid pack?
Thanks again

I had a drip and just knew it was the pan gasket. Years of experience had me gunk it while it was still kind of warm. I hit it every everywhere I could and sprayed it off, then gave it a visual with a flashlight and a mirror on a stick before running to check for spots I missed.
Once cleaned I ran it for about a minute and flash-lighted it again. And there it was coming from the Solenoid pack's mounting surface.
You don't want to run it too long and it get too hot to crawl and it may leak enough to weep around and fool you. A little at a time.
There is no just changing the gasket. They crack. And if you are in there already, and as cheap as it is along with how common it is for them to do this, swap it.
Here is a link to the thread I posted. It was crammped and I was told if I had removed the battery and tray it was much better but I got it.
Good Luck
