Question Harmonic Balancer :: How to Remove w/o Special Tools??

Vehicle: 2002 Dodge Caravan SE (3.3L V6)

I need advice on removing the Harmonic Balancer / Vibration Dampener Pulley. The photo of the NEW balancer can be seen below.

I contacted Part Source but they did not have a puller / installer. However Princess Auto had a couple tools:

The Dodge Service Manual states Special Tools are required (Jaw Puller w/ Insert, Sprocket Installer, etc).

MY QUESTION: Is it possible with the tools provided at Princess Auto to easily remove my Harmonic Balancer and then reinstall this new one??

Thanks!

This is the NEW Harmonic Balancer that needs to be reinstalled. I assume the old looks identical.....

you use the 3 jaw puller to remove and the bolt and bearing set up to install. When removing, there is an insert which is basically a metal bar that slides inside the crank that the puller contacts instead of the crank itself. Keeps you from ruining the threads or mushrooming the crank. I would take a picture of it but the shops is missing....lol. I guess we find a way to do it without the tool.

Ok so the Jaw Puller (shown in photo) to remove the harmonic balancer is needed. What gets me confused is the insert. So to be clear you're saying "the insert" is an extra metal bar piece i need to use along with the jaw puller. This insert is NOT the black screw center piece of the jaw puller (shown in photo). My logic was that black screw of the jaw puller makes contact with the opening left behind when the crankshaft damper bolt was removed.

I assume the installer kit (shown) is fine and there are no hiccups with that compared to the removal and the insert?

Thanks so much for some clarification on this.

With the jaw puller (photo) is it acceptable to simply insert a long bolt into the crankshaft opening and allow the jaw puller center screw to push up against that? Is there any issues with that? My makeshift insert

using a bolt would be bad, trying not to f up the threads. Google "Miller tool 8450", it will give you a better idea. That is the special tool that inserts into the crank.
