[4th Gen : 01-07]: 2007 DGC + Actron CP9580A = No ABS??
Hi, as the title says, I have a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan, and an Actron CP9580A Scanner. I just updated the firmware on the scanner last night to the most recent, although I don't see any change. According to the website it looks like it should be showing ABS. The only modules I see from it are the Engine and Tranny.
My ABS dashboard light is on, and the ABS seems to be working. It just came on when I started my van one morning, after being in the garage, and has been on ever since. No problems whatsoever with actually driving it.
Does this mean it is powered up but has problems?
I saw this thread but just didn't get under the hood yet.

Any ideas that might relate to my scanner or other things I should try?
Thanks
Chris

Oops. Now that I look harder, beyond the main ABS coverage PDF document, I see that there is an additional ABS coverage chart for this scanner which includes 2005-2007, in the form of an Excel spreadsheet. On that, my van is clearly not covered.
Anyhow, I will probably start by going to an auto parts store to get it scanned.

Thanks for replying. I tested the brakes again as I was driving through the snow today, and I was able to verify that the ABS is not working now - It just has solid brakes. The dashboard ABS light is on though. You think it's a power issue like a couple of the other posters had?

Okay, nevermind my two previous posts. I went to an auto parts shop and they read it with an Innova 3130C scanner, which they said generated a "code 18".
I looked into it further just now. From the Innova website, the code 18 =
C0018 Dodge Left Rear Inlet Control (Subfault)
(generic)
and also
C1018 Dodge Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit High
(manufacturer specific)
That is quite a bit different from information I had found elsewhere which was probably wrong. Does either one sound like a common failure point related to ABS? I am thinking the manufacturer-specific one sounds like a good place to start. Does the "high" mean that it was registering too fast?

Here is a matrix of the codes that scanner measures for each wheel, in case that might help anyone to see it in its context:
Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit
Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Performance
Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Low
Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit High *(my code)
Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Open
