Call me a conspiracy nut job, but I don't think it's any coincidence that the vehicle type with the biggest market has the most problems. It's actually even more the case with 2nd and 3rd generations..

I don't think I've seen any neon or ram owners soldering instrument panels or constantly doing work around computers and transmission components.

But yeah, there are far more popular Chrysler based categories on here despite minivans having the biggest market.

I still feel that with all the mishaps the right thing to do here would be to replace the van though. I know Dodge does not have a buy back policy but in extreme cases they should adopt one. Every time I go to the dealership I feel like my issues aren't important and the nearest dealership after that one is a half an hour away. I'm pretty busy with a family, both the wife and I work so dealing with this is becoming a huge hassle.

It's okay Cougar. I'm not expecting any kid of results posting this thread here. Just maybe a little assurance that I got a good product after all. Maybe make me feel a little better about a douche salesman too lol

Wow I totally missed page 2 let me grab you the Vin shortly. I've already spoken and have a case # with Dodge Canada if that makes a difference.

While coasting the chirping noise is very obvious. Now when I coast and put the van in neutral it disappears instantly. Now I'm very worried this is a transmission problem

I still haven't had time to make an appointment. The problem isn't making the appointment it's finding a convenient time to drop the van off. It's probably going to go back in next Monday the 19th. I'm going to see what they say about this chirping/whirring noise. Last time they told me they heard it but couldn't fix it. I'm concerned it needs a transmission replacement.

Talking to myself here haha oh well. After doing some research it could be the harmonic balancer as well.

You're right, it's a good read and well written too. I would love to know the name of the dealership that keeps employees that insult customers.

Ask the techs to remove the fan belt and see if the noise is gone. This way it rules out anything that is belt driven. I do know for a fact that the camshaft phasers are very noisy when cold.

This particular noise I'm dealing with is not when it's cold. It does it all the time when decelerating under load. It's a chirping/whirring noise from the front end under all engine temps. I'll suggest what you said though thanks. DodgeCaCares hasn't gotten back to me, I sent a PM a while ago.

Thanks Montreal. It took me some time to write that and I still missed some stuff.

I'll give the name of the dealership if I don't get any kind of resolution with the further issues. Taking a year to make a repair is ridiculous.
