The reason I ask to have the fan belt removed is because, I have had few 3.6 engine with cracked or broken water pump pulleys. And we did have one case last week with a broken flex plate/Flywheel.

Hmm good stuff to know. You'd think they would notice that when they replaced the engine. I'll ask them what they will do!

drakkon1,

I apologize for the delay, keep an eye on your inbox as I continue to take a closer look into your concern.

Have you had an opportunity arrange another appointment and demonstrate the noise for the service dept?

I have not had an opportunity to make an appointment. The wife and I both work full time hours in the summer so it's very hard to get it in there. I'm going to try and get it in for Thursday. Majority of my frustration at this point is the amount of time the van has spent in the shop. I'm glad the engine is fixed but it's spent 1/4 of it's life there (a bit of an exaggeration, just how it feels at this point)

Kinda wish Dodge would buy the van back. I might start fighting for that if they cannot repair the issues.

Appareantly Dodge knows about the chirping/whirring noise during coast. Yet I can't find a TSB?

The harmonic balancer and vent are still unresolved. They just basically said it's normal so I'm going to take it to a different dealership thats 45 minutes away. Oh well.

My goodness, this is STILL going on? Drakkon best of luck getting this sorted out; yet another reason why I'm uncomfortable buying a new vehicle. I'd have lost my mind if I spent $20k-$30K on a car and had a bunch of issues like this. Hope the new dealership is competent and gets you up and running. Plz keep us posted
