Pass that along to you dealer techs if you talk to them. tjnc You have a 41TE transmission, The sound you maybe hearing could be planetary gears or the front transmission pump.
Since my transmission problem did not trigger any codes the dealership pretty much dismissed my problem. The service manager stated that he had never encountered any problems with these transmissions. When I told him that my previous van (2011 Crew) did not make that noise, He said the 2011 had a completely different transmission than my 2014. In other words, I was made to look like I did not know what I was talking about. My guess is that the problem is the planetary gears as it definitely makes a whining gear noise and the noise occurs on deceleration between 25 and 17 mph.

Do you think that anyone from Dodge Corporate actually reads these posts? If not, they should.

Yes they do! That's why you will see some them online at times. Then remove the input sensor on top of the transmission when cold. It is held down with a 8mm bolt head. Look at the end and see if there is any debris on the end of the sensor. If there is metal debris, the compounder bearings are most likely failing.
