Need some help I have a small transmission leak for the past 4 years. it leaks only when i shut off the engine on the upper right side of the Van. Someone once told me it can be the upper seal. Also I read where the Dodge caravans have problems with the Transmission control Solenoid. One is are they talking about 2 different items and if it is the Solenoid where can it be found. When i check my van it looks like the Transmission control Solenoid is under the battery
plate is that correct. Any help would be great

The solenoid is under the battery, on the front of the trans. They have a seal on the bottom, that could potentially be leaking.
I've also had the o-ring for the dipstick leak, which is another place to look.

 

where would the o ring be on the dipstick?

Where it seals with the tube.

 

On the bottom of the tube where it goes into the trans, I believe there should be an o-ring. I've had a couple of 604s leak where the dipstick tube goes into the trans.
