Default Daylight Running Lamps on 2016 Dodge Caravan

I've been told different things about whether or not the daytime running lights can be disabled on this 2016 Dodge Caravan SE. Can anybody help? I need to be able to turn these off.

Check your owners manual. Should tell you how to access the settings in the main display.

Doubt he has EVIC with it being an SE. That said, about your only recourse is convincing a dealer to do it for you.

I had a dealer that agreed to reprogram the BCM (whatever that is) after checking the VIN and apparently confirming it could be done; however when I brought it in today I was told that model cannot be changed. Not sure what to believe at this point.

Hi DoubleDee,

I've had experience with different states requiring that DRLs be active--I'm wondering if that might be the issue at hand here. If you'd like to send me a PM with your VIN, I can see what I can find out on my end!

Thanks Kori. Nobody has told me that yet but it sounds like a possibility. I bought the vehicle to equip one of my field investigators performing legal surveillance, so having the running lights on full time creates a problem. I appreciate any help you can offer. .

Would you mind sending me a private message with your name and contact info--and if you want, I have the VIN, so you can delete that from your public post if you'd like to.

Kori, did you ever find a resolution to this? I am in the same boat as the OP.

Thanks!
