Newbie here
Howdy all.
New to the forum.
I used to have an 05 Ram 1500 laramie Hemi but my ex got it in the divorce.
Anyway I am in need of a minivan and have found a decent deal on an 08 Caravan that is no frills, but drives good and looks good. Only thing that worries me is there is staining on the head above the block and at the tranny connection.

It only has 40,300 miles. Its in nice shape. Just was worried bout that stain.
We went ahead and got it today negotiated 1500 off the 9k price.
Gonna take to the mechanic on Monday and decide whether we should get the extended warranty (after I read the fine print) for 1500 for 2 years.
I did a bit of searching last night in the Caravan section and online. Nothing that shows that particular staining. lol I went through engine diagrams, known issues and more. Fun Fun.
I'm more of a V8 truck guy. My ex got my Hemi so now I have a Lincoln Blackwood.

If it's an aftermarket company offering the warranty, they generally aren't worth the paper they are printed on.... If it is actually thru Chrysler.... Then yeah. It can indeed be worth the money.
A bit of staining doesn't bother me. No matter how good the seals/gaskets, there is always some seepage. With 40K on the clock, that minor staining wouldn't bother me at all.
