My Grand Caravan has 171k on it. Just curious how long on average do these transmissions go before they need to be rebuilt? I've had the fluid and filter changed twice. Its been a good car and has never been abused. Transmission at this point is still working okay. As I said just curious?

I have a 96 avenger with 125k on the transmission. Normal service should last a long time. The 41TE or A604 before mopar change the name of the transmission.

03 G Caravan; 260,000kms; only issue at stop or light it appeared as if it was trying to shift. After stopped for 10 or so seconds. Just intermittently, once every two weeks. Took the easy way out as suggested by mechanic and changed the fluid and problem went away. Just make sure you change fluids when necessary and it should be good.
