Default Need front Motor Mount procedure for 2001 DGC

My DGC has 171K and I believe the front motor mount needs to be replaced. I've watched a few Youtube videos on it, seems pretty cut a dry. But, do I need to support the front of the engine when it's removed? Also after it's installed do I need to adjust the location of the motor to the mount, because of the slot? Any other pointers? Thanks
