[5th Gen : 08+]: Engine misfires after rains
I have a 2017 Dodge Grand caravan after a rain code saying random cylinder misfire the engine will run poor for about 5 minutes and then everything seems to work normally but the engine light stays on. Eventually it'll go off we live in Florida so it rains a lot. I don't know if I'm getting water in my fuel or what's going on any help would be greatly appreciated
Have you checked the codes to see if there’s anything other than misfire codes?
Usually this kind of thing indicates water intrusion into the engine harness. Could be due to leaking hood seals or a loose connection allowing humidity to collect inside it.
Next time it rains, before you drive it, open the hood and look for any obvious signs the hood seals may be leaking.
