Default 2011 dodge grand caravan fuel pump issue

the fuel pump is staying on after the car is turned off. i have had to pull the fuel pump fuse to stop it. what could be causing it to stay on? also nothing else is staying on and does not do it every time but at least every few times it is turned off.

Bad fuel pump relay? Try switching it with another of the same type in your fuse panel.

That's an indication that your fuel pump relay is starting to go bad in your TPIM. Chrysler had a recall on 2011-2013 Durango and Grand Cherokee where they put an external relay outside the TPIM which they sold as a kit Mopar CBWPR091AA I think it's now discontinued and no longer available from Chrysler. Your only possible options a new TPIM or auto salvage replacement there's company that sell rebuilt units or you might want to try vertical visions they have a few more options like their bypass relay kit. verticalvisions.com

The problem is in the tipm module.Recommend a new tipm module and have it program.

New TPIM and having it reprogrammed is certainly a viable option but the most expensive one anywhere from $1200-$1500. Chrysler had a recall for the exact same issue fuel pump relay on 2011-2013 Dodge Durango Jeep Grand Cherokee over half million vehicle worldwide affected unfortunately the Grand Caravan wasn't included in that recall. Chrysler's fix to their problem for the recall was to disable the internal fuel pump relay in the TPIM and install an external fuel pump relay. If there isn't any other issues within the TPIM only the fuel pump relay I wouldn't replace the entire TPIM module one would think what was approved by Chrysler and NHTSA for the recall would certainly be deem as viable fix. Since the Mopar external relay isn't available anymore I would certainly consider the plug and play fuel pump relay by pass kit which uses a mosfet transistor for the switching versus an electromechanical relay for the fuel pump.
