Hi everyone, probably not super common around here lol but I’m a single mom from Canada that has a love hate with Dodge van club.

I own 2 dodge caravans. My 03 is my project and my **** off....the one I’m mainly joining for. my 2012 is just a dick.

The 03 now has no heat. It started with just the drivers area, then added passenger side and last the back. It has also developed another coolent leak. I’ve changed the rad, the water pump and thermostat. No codes come up. Fans are working and it blows cold air.

One thing they have in common is randomly would lock and unlock it self and light stuff going on

I’m anxious of working on my 2012 but it’s issue was originally not turning over till I would turn the key o and off three times..... but not fully to the on position. After the oil change thing was reset it now starts fine.

The drivers side door lock button won’t work but does on passenger side. The fob also has a mind of its own. I’d guess it’s the connection in the door and battery in the fob but frankly it’s lucky I haven’t lit either on fire haha

Check the coolant level in the 03, low coolant will give you no heat.... as will trapped air.

Welcome to DF! Wander on down to the the Caravan section.

It’s had high and low levels. It was my rad originally leaking and I changed it and it stopped but didn’t help my heat problem. I parked it because it over heated again so sprung a new issue.

I also just remembered I blew my thermostat housing case when I changed it so I put the old one back in. I’m assuming if the new one blew it wouldn’t have been working properly to do determine that wasn’t the issue?

If it was still overheating with the new radiator, and there weren't any external leaks..... Is there a bad headgasket??

There are no signs of one that I know of.
