On my 2003 Dodge Caravan, I would like to put the shorter (= first) rear bench into the place where usually the longer (= second) rear bench is. However, that is not possible because the shorter bench is actually on its sides - left and right from the hooks that fix it on the bottom - wider than the longer bench. It's just a little bit, but that is enough to make it impossible to get it into the grooves of the cargo space bottom.

I think it would be possible to fix the bench in the back if the driver side rear inner wheel panel could be removed. How is this to be done?
