[5th Gen : 08+]: Right rear turn signal and tail lamp don't work.
I have a 2014 Grand Caravan and the right rear turn signal/tail light aren't working. When I turn on the right turn signal, it will flash at normal speed for a second or two then flash rapidly followed by a message on the instrument cluster saying that the right rear turn signal bulb is out. This occurred a few months ago but seemed to have corrected itself as it stopped doing that, then a week ago, I had the local U-Haul dealer install trailer wiring which seems to have caused the problem to return. What could the issue be and how do I go about fixing it?
Take both rear tail light assembly off plug the left tail light into the right tail light wire socket and the right tail light into the left tail light wire socket and check the operation of both tail lights. If the results are the same it would indicate that the problem is likely in the wiring. if the problem switches over to the left side then the likely cause is the right tail light assembly unit . Those are an LED tail light assembly and are expensive at the dealer around $500.00 I'd check at auto salvage places a friend of mine broke one on his van and bought one at the an auto salvage place for $150.00 it look like a new.
