The first chance you get, replace the plastic oil filter housing. It's not if it will leak oil, it's when!!
Do not replace it with another OEM plastic oil filter housing, buy a Dorman aluminum housing and never worry about it after that. Do not let a dealership tell you the OEM housing cracked from over tightening the oil filter cap, most all failures are due to the plastic housing warping and the o-rings no longer create a seal. The job is relatively easy if you have some mechanic skills. The sensors attached to the housing may not come out, so prepare yourself to replace them. Change your spark plugs while you have the center manifold off. The Chrysler engineer/s that decided to put plastic on top of a V6 engine must not be educated!

 

This oil filter housing problem covers all motors with the 3.2 and 3.6 motors. To replace the housing, you need to remove the upper and lower intake. Make sure you replace all O-rings when you do. It would have been nice if the member could have given a part number. If I find it. I will post it. Part number for a Dorman filter housing is 926878 thru rockauto. They are out of stock right now. Maybe because the dealers are buying them.
