Unhappy Door wont close

I just tried to close my door on my 2005 dodge grand caravan but it won't close on the driver-side back door. I checked the lock and it seams to be stuck in the engaged position. It just happened because when I pushed the button to close it i heard the latch engage even though it was open and did not close the door. It just engaged the lock. I looked at the wires in the track and it seams like all the wires got pinched and broke but yet on the passenger side I have never had a problem with it and it has no wires also attached. . I have tried to hold the handle and push the lock back but it is not working at all. Any other ideas, please. I have a little kid i drive and cant drive anywhere with the door open.

Have you manually try to unlock the door to disengage the lock? Remove the track wire from the track. This will help you to close the door. Hopefully the actuator inside the sliding door is okay. If not, That will need to be replaced.

I was able to get it fixed. I had to remove the door and figure out which wire went to the latch. Once I figured out which wire it is I pulled on it and was able to release the latch to close the door. Now it is closed. The actuater is bad and wires got pinched. I am going to have to replace the wires and actuators on both sliding doors.
