Hello everyone,
I own a 2010 caravan sxt 3.3L and it won't start. Battery is good, reading 13v fully charged. There is no crank at all when turning the key. Everything lights up in the car.
Electronic throttle control light comes on for a few seconds, then disapear and the check engine light flashes for a few seconds, then stays solid. I don't have any code reading with my obd2 scanner.
I took appart and cleaned my throttle body, all fuses seem good.

Any idea what it could be?

Do you know if the ignition recall was done on the vehicle. Because it sounds like your ignition module has cause lock out and that maybe the reason why it won't crank. Have to to try to jump the starter relay to see if the vehicle will crank?

 

I bought the van 6 months ago I don't know if yhe recall was done... I will look into it and try to jump the starter relay!

 

I by-passed the starter relay. I heard a Click from the starter when I connected the starter relay directly with a jump wire, but still no crank when trying to start the car

 

Okay have someone turn the key to start and hit the started with a hammer. Sounds like you have a bad started unless the engine overheated and locked up.
