4. Sometimes skips 2nd gear
5. Sometimes can't decide what great to stay in

I'm changing fluid and filter to see if that helps, it's time for that already.
What else should I do while I have the pan removed?

any ideas what might be causing the 62TE to constantly shift gears. Happens at around 40-50 MPH. It shifts up and down all the time, can't seem to decide what gear to stay in.
I'm not sure if it's shifting between 4-5 or 5-6

 

Have you had the transmission scan for codes? If you have the ability to check CVI (Clutch Volume Index) that would help. When was the last service done on the transmission and were any debris found.
