I have a 1990 model Caravan the tranny will go in drive but will not shift out of first gear.

Any help would be APPRECIATED.

Try disconnecting the battery for about ten minutes to reset any transmission codes that may have been set.Reconnect the battery and try it out.This will only be a temporary fix but if it helps it might be the speed sensor that sits between the transmission oil cooler lines.The sensor is on the top,front of the transmission and requires a 1 inch wrench or socket to remove,cost about $20 at the dealer,get the newest version.
