Hi I have a 2002 Grand caravan. The fuel tank colapses when I accelerate. The engine light is on. I switched a solonoid purge valve from a buddies van to test it and the problem went away. I bought a new purge valve and the problem returned. Help!!!

Did you check the plug to it, make shure is clean. Before i didn't pay much attention to plugs, but one day i admit plug to be wet, and my van went in LIMP mode. So i took air hose and blow all plugs i was working with. And poroblem gone for good. But even after you did change purge valve, and the CEL come's back either one is bad, purge valve you bought, or wet or dirty plugs, and plug shorting. Or new though bad gas, wich is with water or some small trash. So any way what the OBD Code? on this problem? Did you check with OBD-II reader? if yes what's the code?

Whell first you need engine lifter, and a car platform to lift a van. You won't be able to pull engine up throu hood area, engine has go down, and when engine is down on ground, then lift the front of the van so you can swap the engine, working same way up.

Would putting leak stop in help?
There is a recall for this if the leak is from under the body of the van. I just heard about this. The clamps on the underbody coolant lines loosen and allow it the leak. Free repair at dealership but call and tell them where yours is leaking from to make sure it's covered.
