Default A couple questions about the new RT?

1. If you have a Hemi RT with auto, how gutsy is it? I drove a Charger with the auto and was kind of unimpressed. A local dealer has a bunch of Challenger RT's with auto, but before I even go there, I wondered what the opinions were.
2. When are they shipping stick RTs? I drove the Bullitt and thought it was fun, but my heart lies with Mopar, so I'd like to get a Challenger. The compare apples to apples, the RT would need a stick.

Thanks for the info.

The manual RT should already be shipped. We have an 09 RT on a local lot, but it is an auto. Also have a bunch of V6s

6-Spd Manual Challenger R/T and SRT models are already shipping. My local dealer has a Tored Challenger R/T w/6-Spd Manual on its way to the lot. Keep in mind the HEMI got a power upgrade so its not 340HP anymore. Its about 50HP more than that. The 6-spd manual models have more HP than the automatic models.

By todays standard 5.5 0-60 is not all that hot.

My 02 TA is 5.2 stock. There are family sedans that do 5.5.

I am not knocking the car, I love it. But reality is reality.

i suppose you are right, i didnt know trans ams were 5.2 out of the box. all i kno is that it scared me to floor it and it did a burnout all over in second. but i drive a 98 ram so i guess i am used to a slow vehicle and it just seemed fast. however, i can tell you i have driven a gt stang 5-speed and this challenger is way more fun to drive and has a lot more power.

Default New black Challenger RT 6spd

Just picked up my new RT and love it!!! Very gutsy and a blast to drive. Turns heads everywhere it goes. ZThis car begs to be driven hard. Looked at the auto srt last year and did not like. If you like a manual this is the car to get!
