Default Help a brotha out. :)

Hey everyone I am new here my name is Mike. I will be getting a challenger in the next month or two. I just had some questions for you guys. Im either going with the RT or SRT8 I dunno which one yet. I want the car to be black with black rims. The rims I want are similar to the ones on the SRT8, basically like a black wide 5 spoke rim with no lip and also I want to get it in 22 inches, the SRT8 only comes in 20s and I think the extra 2 inches would make the car look much nicer.. Ive been searching for 22 inch 5 spoke rims with no lip and couldnt really find any good ones. Can you guys give me somehting to work with? Show me some pictures of some nice rims so I can choose which will look nicest. Remember I dont want the rims to have a lip.

Im thinking about putting these on but in all black ofcourse. What do you guys think? Help a brotha out. :)-0lmvi.jpg

I just have a feeling that on a challenger the rims shouldnt have a lip, I think it just matches nicer. Anyone else agree?

I also wanted to ask how much would the monthly payments be on an SRT8 lease for 3 or 4 years, with 2500 down? How much does everyone on here pay? If I like the car enough Ill buy it at the end, thats what I do with the cars I truly like. And also how is it with gas mileage?

Oh and final question im sorry. What is the 0-60 on the RT and SRT8? And is the SRT8 really worth the extra 10grand?

I can tell you i've driven a few of them and the suspension is pretty stiff. I would advise you to stick with 20"s. If you move up in rim size, you're going to of course have less tire thickness (sidewall). It will beat you to death and won't respond the same. Your driving experience will be diminished. Just some friendly advice not trying to dogg you or anything.

If I planned on keeping this car for years and years I would go with the SRT, the RT is fine too.

Welcome to DF
I agree TNtech, The car rides much better with stock tires. I have also driven some of the RT and SRT8 with 22 inch wheels. The ride is much harder on the driver, because there are time when you hit a pothole. You think you are going to loose control. Also will 22 inch tires, you are about 1 inch from the upper ball joint. I would put nice looking rims on the wheels. The SRT8 is a good choice.

if you do go with the 22 inch wheels you will run a 265/35-22 tires and the are just about the same overall diameter so you not be closer to upper ball joint these cars are made to fit bigger rims and tires. most people who put 22 on there challenger end up lowering it to get rid of the wheel gap. as far as the ride its not ruff enuff to "beat you to death" and the lower side wall has less flex than the stock size so the tend to take corner better. go for it but if you do 22 they look much better staggered 22x9 up front and 22x10 but if not most company make 22x9.5 to go all the way around and these cars take a low offset(+15 is perfect) just to let you know what to look for and here a few cars i have done that is 22x9.5 all around and this is 22x9 and 22x10.5 lowered on eibach springs
