Hello and I f---ed up!
Hello everyone! I've been an automotive forum go-er for, geez like 5-6 years. I'm on Ranger-Forums and ElementOwnersClub as rolla_guy72 and 05elefent. Just so you know I'm not some random dude trying to get "secret" information.
Ok, I admit it, I f-cked up big time. First of all, I'm at Eielson AFB Alaska and it's been below 0 degrees since October. My buddy deployed in July and told me i could drive the car if I needed to, etc. Anyway I had the car outside when it got above freezing during Thanksgiving and everything melted. Yeah 6" of Ice and Snow melted and Literally the next day it was -20 degrees outside. It was 11 degrees today so I dumped buckets of hot water over the day and FINALLY melted them.
So, what I've had since today is a big orange popsicle covered in snow with a dead battery. And the doors are locked. And all he gave me was the Keyfob device, that doesn't open the doors because the battery's dead.
What I need to know is how to unlock the door. Usually the standard protocol on the Auto Forums is to transmit this info via PM so it's not seen otherwise, which would probably be bad for Challenger owners everywhere.
Please, if anyone believes me, I need to get this car into the garage!

You can unlock the driver's door manually with the key that's integrated into the electronic key fob:

latch at the top of the Fob sideways with your thumb
and then pull the key out of the Fob with your other
hand.

The valet key is in the end of the fob opposite the "panic" button. Once you have the door open, pull the hood release and connect a battery charger or jumper cables to the correct pos and neg terminals on the passenger side wheel well. Alternately, you can fold the rear seats down and crawl thru into the trunk and pull the trunk emergency release handle. The battery is under the floor panel on the passenger side of the trunk.

I suffered a major brainphart shortly after buying my 98 C5 Corvette ten years ago.The car died on the freeway, lost all power , lights , engine, everything. Managed to exit the freeway, coasting and even got to the side of the feeder. It was pitchblack. Called AAA and panic set in. I removed the top and exited the car in this unconventional way.The AAA guy cleaned the battery contacts and my Vette came alive.Although the door locks are electronic the mechanical inside door handles overide the locks when there is no power.During this 15 minute fiasco I never once thought to try the door handles and until it dawned on me that I could remove the top, I thought I was trapped in my car.
