Default Upgrading The Exhaust

Hello All,

Question for all who have the knowledge, My wife is interested in the 6 cylinder Challenger GT AWD but wants the sound of the big guns, Is this something I can have Dodge do or wait and take to a performance shop or even a regular muffler shop. Thanks for any and all input and suggestions.

a 6 cylinder will never sound like the "big guns" no matter what you do. At any rate, you don't need Dodge to upgrade your exhaust. Any exhaust shop can do it, heck you can do it yourself with basic hand tools (installing a decent cat back).

The closest that 6 will ever come to sounding like an 8 is with a blower lol. If you catback that thing it's gonna sound like a loud, angry bumblebee.

Blastin Bobs has some decent axle backs and resonator deletes. Installed a resonator delete kit from them on my sons 2016 R/T.

Default Borla ATAK Exhaust

I bought my wife a 2017 AWD GT and we put a new Borla ATAK exhaust on it. It's the closest the AWD drive model will get to sounding like a HELLCAT!!! Your dealer or any exhaust shop can do the install. Check out the Borla ATAK exhaust!

Not bashing the V6s but, if you want them to sound like a V8 you have to opt for the extra 2 cylinders.
