If as we've seen, will you buy new Challenger?
Agree w/ Racinfan.
Good news is those "extra sized" wheels rarely make it to production...but did on the Prowler and Mercury Marauder when most thought they would not. I do like how they "fill" the wheel well, but would prefer something more modest myself. Can always slap on what you like!

The 'Stang GT was going to be my next car. After seeing the Challenger concept, and if they keep it in the same ballpark w/the GT, I'll buy a Challenger. All they need to do is build it with a stick shift and keep the base V8 pricing close to the GT.
The fat person will sing when the car hits the road. Handling???? No question it wil handle well. I don't know if I could anti-up 30k plus and justify it with my wife. Although she is absolutley in love with the styling ( hurray, I have a chance!) I know my wife would want to drive it, so I hope they offer an auto 6.1, or at least a 5.7 package with a stick. She's generally a good driver and can handle high power, but she's not "experienced" with handling power induced oversteer, so I'd be worried to set her loose in a 6.1 six speed. I LIVE FOR STEERING A CAR WITH THE THROTTLE! Need a RWD fix, fast!
It looks amazing, but I won't be able to afford one for a long time to come. I still have 4 years to pay on my truck... Hehe, I suppose I could twin turbo my truck and race Challengers. :P
Buy One?
That is a silly question... I am hoping that the Challenger will be priced somewhere around $45,000 fully loaded. I would rather have the extra quality in a car than a cheap pricetag... Also, I don't want to see nearly as many of these on the road as the Mustangs. (tacky) Hopefully they do not make a V6 for the Challenger. Make a car that demands respect from a distance, not waiting to get close to see if it is a 'real' version of the car or not.
So, just don't make low model Challengers and put more money in the Drive train... (we do want to smoke 'em in ALL 6 gears!)
I would also like to see better cams, exhaust and higher Compression in the Challenger. Much better than the current SRT-8 Engine... (at least I think they could have done more...)

If they do not change it like the Charger, then I'm in for one. However, I might wait for a convertible model if they build it!
Come on, this is your chance to "kinda" go back in time and buy a muscle car. This car if built as shown with the 425 HP hemi and 6 spd will be a fun car!
I just wish they would lose the SRT-8 for this one and keep it retro...Challenger R/T. I would also love to see certain options come back: a shaker hood, vinyl roof and rear T/A spoiler. If they don't offer a shaker hood, then the after market companies will jump on that option.
I would even offer the guys with to much cash a V-10 version to compete with the Shelby Mustang. We are at war!

Slickrick,
Man, vinyl top...that's pushing the envelope, but pretty cool someone thought of it. Hell, chrome bumpers while we're at it.

Totally agree this puppy should be an R/T !!
