Challenger window issue
Title says it all. Drivers window doesn't work. Tried a new switch --- not the answer. Passenger window works fine from the drivers switch or the passenger switch. Took the driver's door panel off and took out the motor; checked the motor & switch and it now functions fine. Put the motor back into the door and now it works correctly except for the drop/down feature.
Things don't fix themselves. Need to order a new motor. Dorman offers one but I have heard that their reputation is subpar. Can anyone give me another motor mfg to investigate? Also O'Reillys sells a remanufactured motor. Any comments would be appreciated.

The mopar motors are on amazon for around 100 bucks. Dorman and A-premium are the only others I see there..... Neither of which I would trust very far. Never even heard of A-Premium before.... Mopar also offers the entire regulator assembly (with motor) for just under 200..... I might be tempted to spend the money, go with the mopar part, and not worry about it for another ten years.
OK. Thanks for the reply. I'll stick to MOPAR.
After reinstalling the original motor, door panel, and switch the drop-down feature, after a few miles of driving, now works correctly as well.
The only thing that was done after removing the motor was plugging it into the wiring circuit with the switch and spinning the motor for a few minutes in each direction. Perhaps the motor has a "dead spot" on the stator and/or rotor. Stranger things have happened electronically.

I have a 2011 R/T. My drivers side window started rolling up and down the half inch or so that it drops when you open the door. It would do it until it killed the battery. I had my mechanic fix it. I can't remember exactly what it was but it was unrelated to the window. I remember him saying dust from our dirt road is what caused to to malfunction. Sorry I'm not more help with the fix but wanted you to know it might not be directly associated with the window control.
So that was about 6 years ago and since he fixed it everything has been fine until recently. Now the passenger side won't roll up that final 1/2" or so after you close the door. It will roll up but I have to make sure I roll it up from the driver's side door panel switch that last little bit. A little aggravating because I found out when I realized that rain came in when it was down. Now I try to always remember to check it....especially when my wife and son go off together!
