Default Engine overheating, temperature does not drop below 220°F.”

"Hello, I have a 2015 Challenger SXT with a 3.6 VVT engine. Recently, I’ve noticed that the temperature gauge needle fluctuates up and down. Upon checking the temperature, I saw that at idle, it reaches 230°F. During acceleration, it can go up to 240°F and then drop back down to 224-226°F. I think the thermostat might be faulty. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or is this normal for this engine? Additionally, I’ve noticed that the fan is constantly running and doesn't turn off.

What’s strange is that when the temperature is at 224°F, the gauge needle is in the middle, as if it's a normal temperature."

I think the stock thermostat is 203 degrees in that one...... Still, those numbers seem kinda high to me. Does the fan turn off if you turn the a/c off?

Here’s the translation:

"When the air conditioner is on, the temperature stays at 228°F. When I turn off the air conditioner, the temperature doesn’t drop and the fan doesn’t turn off. However, when I drive slowly with the air conditioner on, the temperature can drop to 222-224°F."

Here’s the translation:

"97,000 miles on the odometer, coolant level is normal, ambient temperature is 95-100°F, I’m in Texas."

"I'll replace the thermostat and let you know if the problem goes away."

The problem was resolved. Replacing the thermostat fixed the issue. Now, the temperature is 210-215°F, and during acceleration, it can reach 225-230°F before dropping down immediately. I bought the thermostat at AutoZone for $20. This information might be helpful to someone.
