Hello, I have a 2012 Dodge challenger SXT. I recently drove my car and while driving the car suddenly turned off and wouldn't turn on again. After trouble shooting everything I decided to take my vehicle to the dealership for repair. They told me they had to replace a part of the computer and get new keys for the car. My car is push start by the way. This issue is very dangerous and worries me. I'm lucky my vehicle didn't turn off on me on the highway. Maybe I'll get more information after the repair is done but that's 1400 out of pocket for a serious defect.

 

One of the things I dislike about all the electronics they are putting into vehicles these days... More critical failure points. That one lasted 12 years though....

 

I guess it is too late ask if the dealer scan the car for codes. and what were the codes.
