I hadn't driven the car - 2011 RT - in 11 days and it barely started so I opened the trunk in case I need to get to the battery. Does the light stay off if the trunk is only cracked open slightly? I peeked in there and it looks like it's off.

I ran the car for 15 mins at 3K RPM so I'm hoping that charged the battery.

 

That'll put a surface charge on the battery. If it sits for an appreciable length of time again, you'll be back in the same place. Need to put it on a charger for a while.
