Hello all.

My Scat is having backup camera issues. OK. I have noticed that this happens late in the day (yes, weird). So most of the time when I first use the car in the morning the camera comes on no problem. AS the day goes on it stops working completely. I am at a loss. So, morning and early afternoon work, late in the day does not work. LOL sounds crazy.

Any ideas? I disconnected the negative terminal from the battery and its doing the same thing. YT vids state to make sure the trunk is closed properly and to disconnect the negative term. IDK.

What is not working about it?

 

When it's working i can see the rear when reversing. When it is not working all i see on the screen is adroid auto. i connect my phone everytime i am driving so android auto is always on even when the cam is working properly.

 

Try not having the phone connected for the day and see if it still does it; if it behaves you have your culprit. If it doesn't then it at least eliminates that as a possibility.

 

Still not working. Actually hs not come on in days. Not sure what is going on.

Which camera do i need to buy? My scat has the hellcat spoiler. I see different cameras online. Some just the camera and some with a tail like harness. Which one is it?

If yall could link me that would be great. One thing i have noticed is when i put the 6 speed in reverse it is tough to place it into R. Should it be that tough? other times its a bit easier IDK man.

Gonna need to look at your options codes. Should be on a label somewhere.....

Putting it in Reverse is hard. 1-6 are not smooth as butter but also not a hard as putting it in R.

 

Reverse isn't synchronized..... and the six speed was notorious for being rough shifting...... Wouldn't hurt to check fluid level though, and also make sure the right fluid is in there.... Didn't chrysler change their mind on what to use at one point????? I might be remembering that wrong, but, worth checking into.

There should be a label somewhere in the car with all of the option codes. Running your vin thru the Mopar Vin decoder might bring 'em up as well. Label is usually in the glove box, or under the hood somewhere... .Radiator support?
