lol, actualloy when I named you Dartmouth 69, I for some reason didn't remember you were Darman, and I had some weird idea in my head that you were from Dartmouth, lol, can't explain that,
I've enjoyed our "enlightenment" as well, well yes, we can go on and on, but I'll never change my mind, nor will you, isn't that always the resoluton of an argument? Nothing?

lol yeah dartmouth was the name i was referring (i admit i did get a chuckle out of it tho) to and you did say something about "YOU IDIOTS" but the dartmouth comment has been addressed and resolved now and id just as well not argue over the internet as its pretty pointless to begin with. no matter what you say none of us will change our veiws and no matter what we say you are rock solid in your beliefs, so lets just let all of this be water under the bridge.

A couple points I would like to make.

1. The EPA rating for the Charger with the 3.5L is 27 not 28 on the highway.

2. The Saturn Sky has a turbo I4 not a turbo V6.

3. The Honda Accord is a mid-sized not a full-size car.

The Chevrolet Malibu offers the best V6 fuel mileage 22/32 with the 217hp & 220 ft-lbs 3.5L V6.

Ya know, I wish you'd quit with these kinds of posts. The dealer by me got a '07 bright red (don't know the name) srt-8 charger about a week ago. You keep making me think I NEED this car! Peer pressure is rough.[&:]

So, how are they in the snow ... [8D]

Um, 97 intrepid, you realize that the Accord SHOULD HAVE better mpg than the charger, right? Yeah I compare it to a full size, and yet it still barely outdoes them, get the point now? SO what if the sky have a turbo I4 compare to a 6, it's the hp that matter hello? and the charger mpg, oh boy, 1 mpg different, there's something worth making a point bout

ps
Jcivics, me likey your car very much. I wonder why you only get 12mpg? My Hemi 4dr 1500 never gets below 15? Must be playin hard with it huh. lol, can't wait for the sublime daytona charger to come out, it will be sweet

It's weird, I think I have heard about the daytonas not gettin as gooda gas mileage, but is that think fairly new. I know it takes about 10k to get ur best mileage.

THE STUD, there is no reason for you to give me an attitude. I was trying to help you with your argument and you smarted off to me. You better becareful because there are people on this forum who can ban you if you cause trouble, and some of us such as myself are moderators at sister forums to this one.

Theorically a Accord should get better fuel mileage; however, you need to compare in the same class to see the reality of the situation. The Chrysler Sebring equipped with the 3.5L has a 6-speed transmission instead of a 5-speed and it gets 19/28, that means it runs short despite having a gearing advantage over the Accord.

The 3.9L Impala only gets that mileage due to the AFM system (aka Displacement-On-Demand); whereas, the Honda engine doesn't offer it on the normal line up. The 3.9L-powered Malibu SS only gets 18/26 mpg. The Malibu being lighter should get better mileage than the Impala, but it doesn't.

Now on to your part about the Saturn Sky. It only gets 22/31 with the manual option; meanwhile, it gets 21/29 with the automatic. In comparison to the much heavier Toyota Avalon which gets 22/31 with a 268hp & 248 ft-lbs of tq 3.5L 24 valve DOHC V6 with an automatic, this is nothing noteworthy. An I4 gets its butt kick when equipped with comparable transmissions, that is sad. According to your logic, the Sky should get better fuel mileage and it failed.

Anyways 260 hp is nothing noteworthy by now day standards out of an I4. Look up the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo offers 286hp & 289ft-lbs.

Now sense you were so rude, I will completely finish off your argument.
1. Toyota Corolla 1.8L I4 126hp 32/41 city/highway manual
2. Honda Civic 1.8L I4 140hp 30/40 city/highway auto; 30/38 manual
3. Ford Focus 2.0L I4 136hp 27/37 city/highway manual
4. Chevy Aveo 1.6L I4 103hp 27/37 city/highway manual
5. Chevy Cavalier 2.2L I4 148 hp 25/34 city/highway manual

The Corolla offers the best fuel mileage hands down, the Civic comes in second no matter which transmission you choose in terms of fuel mileage and comes second only to the Cavalier when it comes to power. In terms of which car offers the best combo of fuel mileage and power, the Accord wins.

There will always be categories where the domestic shine better and categories where imports shine better, that is a fact of life. Oh and btw, the Chrysler Group really doesn't deserve the credit for the MDS, that was a Mercedes design used in one of their other engines. Granted GM created the idea, but it was MB who figured out how to make it work first.

Also now that puts the 3.5L V6 Charger down in both power and fuel economy in comparison to the Toyota Avalon. The Avalon gets 22/31 vs. the Charger's 19/27 that gives the Avalon 3/4 mpg better fuel mileage while producing 18 more hp. Are you so smart now THE STUD?
