Default X pipe rattle

How do you get the X pipe top stop hitting the cross member over bumps.

I was told to shim it out but what does that mean?

It shouldn't take them over 15 minutes to put her up on the jack and tweak her.

I removed mine, now I have ratle on the tank that cant be adjusted.(everything is pushed forward as far as it can be)
The only thing I can think of is chopping an inch of my muffler outlets to move them foward.Any other Ideas out there?

It's not often but I get a rattle every now and then like you described,on the tank, and had the same thoughts. I may chop mine a half inch and see if that does the trick.

I just used a couple of thick washers and shimmed the cross member down from the bottom of the undercarriage a bit. No problems here now.

They shimed my cross member too. Took 10 mins. They do really good work and mentioned the mufflers hitting the tank too. They said no fix for it and avoid big holes.

Baldy,

Have you or anyone noticed you get better arond town gas millage w/ the headers? My car read a solid 13.4 miles per gal and since the header install it is now 14.8

I stand on the gas a bunch too and yet my miles per gallon has gotten better.

No CELS yet.
