Default SuperChips vs B&G

Ok everyone, give it to me straight. Should I consider the SuperChip programmer or buy a programmed hot set-up from B&G? Just like you all, I want top street performance (no, I'm not at the strip with slicks), for my pretty much stock Daytona Charger. SC and B&G look to be about the same price. Currently I am using a Jet 2 chip, with fresh air to my K&N 63, and MFrear muffler/reso tips. Also, I did take off my engine cover: IT DOES keep the plastic intake hot (heat soak).

Thanks gang!

Hey, bud! How are you doin? I don't know much (if anything) about the B & G. I know I like the flexibility the Flashpaq gives me. I'm thinking of de-tuning it back to 87 octane to save a bit at the pump. Does the B&G give you any flexibility? I guess that's what I'd want to check out.

I wouldn't go w/B&G until you get seriousputting on the slicks and running at the strip. As you probably know the B&G is a custom (one shot) tune. You send your PCM (or an extra one) to B&G, they tune it and send it back. All their tunes turn off MDS. Their tunes are much more aggressive than SuperChips and better be for the cost, I believe it startsaround 400 and goes up quickly from there. I saw oneof their stage II tunes listed the other day around 800+.

And B&G is not for a stock car you need some good mods like cam/heads stuff like that or you are just throwing money away.

yep i did both easier to decide that way lolololol............if your not going all out with the car .i guess just the superchips is fine.but fyi they do make an mds version for our cars thats what i have.the mds flash goes for 430 if you buy a second pcm thats another 280 so like we said unless your going all out its a lot of money to spend for a minimal gain unless you have heads cam etc.so if you staying stock do the sc only.save the money .if your going all out do both if you cant afford both do the b&g only .so like everything else it all depends on where your going.

That's good to know about the B&G MDS flash, I didn't know they did that.

Thanks everyone.

I see the B&G is $430 for the Hemi and $630 for the stage 2 module for the6.1 guys. SC is $450 on Ebay.B&G gives you 140 top, while SC will remove the speed limitation, according to what I read. Of course, maybe a Valentine One would be the better choice (laugh) -- but, like one seller on Ebay says, he just can't afford to go fast anymore...
Dave, I still think your photo is boss...Not just thefact the car can do it, it is the whole glory of you in your splender of just having fun. Good stuff.[sm=smiley20.gif]

I now have the only American Muscle car in my garage. I am parked between two made in Japan cars: a 2005 modified STi, and a 2007 Speed 6. Although those turbo cars can run like V8's, I still like my Charger. I just am at the end of the pack in the 1/4 mile...

Thanks, MN. I know what you mean about those turbo jap cars. A Turbo Supra really, REALLY, ate me at the strip. Course, he was also running nitrous.

Dave,
You still runnin' both the Jet and SC together? How is that working out?

I really mean: didthe SCreally help at the track and in-the-pants feel, or, was it just so-so. Did it really improve the shifts?

Also, someone long ago mentioned they had a faster car with the engine cover OFF. I blasted the poor guy, butturns out he was right. I have taken mine off and hung it in the garage. The coils are cooler and the plastic intake is MUCH cooler during running times, I can honestly say. Try it!
