If they want to total it let them just make sure they replace it with a new one. If the motor took a hit I would be more concrened about the crank or som other pullies lining up right which would do nothing but couse problems down the road. I was not sugesting to screw the insurance company and make rates go up. But in the state of AR (I point this out as laws may very where you are) insurance companies are not allowed to "steer" you to a repair facility. The coice is totaly up to you. Whith that in mind you find a good body shop have them give an honest quote, then ask how much more they would charge to use the aftermarket hood and facia, hell it might less with the price of OE parts these days, that would put a little cash in your pocket.

How much did you pay and what is the insurance comapny giving to you?

Are you upside down?

Just curious since the car is an 07?

I dont think we have heard what the insuracne companies are valuing the Chargers at?

Yeah i am upside down a bit as anyone would be with a brand new one i am sure. I do have the GAP coverage so i am not worried. I hear back frmo them tomorrow afternoon/friday.

I let my buddy of pretty easy since he was very ver very nervous of how i would react lol. He is paying all costs and making sure everything gets taken care of quickly.

Sue his insurence company for the difference. Then go get a new one. If your block took a hit you may be wise to accept the total and move on.

I just got back from getting all mypersonal items out of my charger. I feel like my poor car is in prison at this dirty junk yard. I wanted to know if anyone has ever had a problem with junk yards damaging their vehicles after the accident. They picked my car up with a FORK LIFT and totally bent my exhaust system and also broke my key by ripping it off the column that they attached it to with a cord and cracked the key eye hole. My question is since these things happened after the accident are they covered? That is if they actually fix the car and not total it out....

Gezzzz kick a fellow when their down... Pick it up with a fork lift, WTF???

If it isn't totaled then yes someone will pick up the tab for damages. Not beinga legalexpert I would say if nothing else the insurance company would and go after the storage people for damages, subrogation stuff.
