I read up on this and they think the build of the GoManGo's and Topbanana's will not allow this to work. Some of the mid year 2006 builds evidently work, so they made changes as to how ESP was handled with that later build.

I read all thru the post on the other forum and it looks like you need a build date of 05/06 or later. Some of the 04/06 build date are hit or miss.

I have an 07 RT and I tried it yesterday. I can't say for sure if it works or not, but the ESP/BAS light plus the squiggles do light up on the dash. It feels like it spins easier from a standing start, and when fishtailing (but I didn't push it to hard and I didn't feel the brakes kick it to control me) and a little better shifting, but it may be my imagination.

At this point I would have to lean towards it works.

why not just get the no esp mod from it allows you to use your esp button to disable the esp totally. takes about 15 mins to install and works like a charm unless you get one with a bad relay in it and you send him an email and he will send you another one out that day. ... noesp dot com.... love it... get it... you won't be dissappointed.

Honestly I haven't looked into the one from noesp.com. I have only had the Charger for just over 2 months and I am not sure if I really needthe modor not. I was just adding my 2 cents to the original post. Big Banana had posted the link on the other site and I read all 28 pages of post and tried it and it worked. Unfortuneatly it didn't for Big Banana.

Out of curiousity, don't you run the potential of warranty issues if the dealer finds you spliced into the wiring for the esp? I know people add stereos and alarms that splice into the wires without much trouble, but it seems the dealer could deny coverage on the esp (especially with that system costing much more than items associated with the radio or alarm system) with the wires spliced. I think the key method would be undetectable. Like when using a SC programmer.

Your right Bigfoot, use the key method if you can.

If not noESP is a good alternative, or roll your own like so many others have <= both mods entail splicing wires so do that at your own risk

I tried this on my '07 RT and it works!!! NoESP is a great product but I was able to save $50 with this info.

Now I just have to re-teach HAL some
