I’ve never done these but can take a stab at it. I'm not sure if the dash has tocome out just but try taking that plastic piece under the steering column. You should have access the switch from there, I believein the first pic below is the switch that your trying to reach. <edit> well I drew the arrow in the wrong place it's not pointing to the fog light switch but it's close LOL

1 - Pull the trim away from the side of the dash (second pic)
2 - Remove two screws (third pic)
3 - Remove one screw under the plastic dash piece near the parking break release (fourth pic)
4 – Pull the plastic piece away from the dash.

When putting the trim from step 1 back in be sure to tuck the trim bottom under the plastic trim or it will be sticking out.

Those are old switches, one was a NoESP and the other was fan. Those were replacedby noESP and Coolit.

Here are the new switches for N20; arming, heater, remote opener & purge.

Here is what I have done in the past.

On the drivers side there is a large rubber grommet/booty in the firewall you can pull out run your wires through. I’ve ran some many wires through there I took the dermal and ground out a small hole on the inner side of that bigger grommet/booty hole. Your wires will run in close proximity that light switch.

Anyhew…

Pop the hood.

Take out the access panel on the drivers side in the long plastic ledge above the firewall (see attached pic. the pic is of the passenger side but there is one just like it on the drivers side).

Take out that plastic dash piece per post number 2 in this thread.

Look into the hole where the access panel is and you will see the grommet/booty I talked about above. Just pull it loose from inside the engine compartment. Use a fish wire or coat hanger to get your wires through that hole.

Put the grommet/booty and dash back togetheronce your finished with the wire andit's done.
