I use Z-Max 30 microlubricant in my 2007 Dodge Charger Daytona. My gas milage has increased
you might want to try it.

Keeping MDS intact and watching your driving habits are the best things you can do for better MPG.

Yes you should modify the tire size paramater in the PCM. You can do this via a tuner like Diablo/Superchips or I'm sure a dealership willmake the changefor some money.

I shouldn’t have put it this way; you can modify the car so MDS doesn't work. You can create a lot of HP and keep MDS, some have chosen to put a non-mds friendly cam in their 5.7 and have disabled MDS. Some have even taken out the MDS solenoids and replace the MDS lifters with standard non MDS lifters.

The way I keep the engine in MDS mode is to use the cruise control as much as I can. This keeps the engine in fuel saver mode as much as possible Also another good way is lift on the gas pedal after desired speed is atained. Hope this helps, plus I use Z-Max 30 micro lubricant. Which you can buy at any Pepboys store.

My thoughts on gas mileage, some are cheap and easy others cost a little.
Synthetic oil helps, as will additives like z max. Cold air kit and aftermarket computer help too, but take longer to realize the payback.
keep your tires properly inflated. Finally the most controversial one, slow down the faster you go the more gas you use. Coast more brake less, everytime you step on the brakes you waste gas, yes that's right the brakes, You are robbing the energy you have built up getting the car going and turning it into heat in the brakes. Using all these things my 06 Daytona averaged over 24 mpg on a trip from PA to Las Vegas and back, actually the slow down idea wasn't used much lol. 3 full size adults in the car driving 75 to 80 most of the way, trunk packed. I had several tanks over 27 mpg, this also included 3 days of city driving in Vegas. I found the 91 octane tune on my superchips gave the best mpg, I tried them all on the trip. Sorry for the long post, hope this helps.

Has anyone tried one of the fitch fuel catalysts yet? I'm thinking of ordering one soon, just want a non biased opinion. Everything I can find says they help.
