Correct me if I'm wrong, but the extra notch on the headlight switch is for automatic headlights, DRL's cannot be turned on or off with the headlight switch, you need the starscan tool.

 

Yes, roman and have PMed back and forth about this and I corrected my mistake dlr's are not part of auto head lights.

I'll have to go back through my PMs but I believe you are spot on in that it takes a starscan to toggle it on/off.
