Default Transmission Question

I have a 2008 Charger with a 2.7L, V6. A dealer recently told me that this model does not have any transmission filter that needs to be changed - only the fluid needs to be replaced and the transmission flushed. Is he right?

I haven't worked on the 42RLE but the manual shows a filter, part # 52852 913AB. You can check around, I would bet you can find a kit that has everything you need.

If it's anything like the NAG1 your better off letting the dealership do it because there is no dipstip to check the oil level.

All transmissions have a filter. The 45RFE and the 68RFE have two filters in the transmission.
