Default 2006 Charger, interior lights going away, one by one...

I'm stumped, dealer claims to be as well.

2006 Charger, noticed lights in the center console (environmental controls, radio, etc) started to go black on me. First, I couldn't see the fan control at night, then the rest of the environmentals. Now, radio buttons going dark as well, one or two at a time. Anyone ever hear of such a thing? I know I'm not dealing with 93 light bulbs back there...just seems wierd...any help is appreciated.

Are they coming back or staying out?

Once they're gone, they're gone. It is getting irritating havving to turn on the one remaining working overhead light to adjust the fan or thermostat.

My 2006 Chrysler 300 has started this now as well. One light at a time is going black. I will have to peel apart everything to replace them.

I dont think they are replaceable in the AC control head. The same circuit feeds your backlights in AC, radio, clock and the power is CCN cluster driven (which is actually the body computer) The cluster backlights are on a different circuit. Dome light are on a separate circuit also and the cluster drives them too. Series circuit for the center stack so it's not the cluster that is bad BTW. Your lights are just dead.

Well, you can pop open the Control head, remove and solder some new bulbs in for few bucks. I think they are held on by few 4mm bolts.
just becareful not to rip the green condoms on the bulbs, you'll need to reuse them. they are hard to find.
If you aren't handy with soldering works, you can get some LED strips or small Neon tubes and wire it into the control head.

Or you can buy new control head for like $150ish.

I never took apart the radio for bulb replacement, donno how it look inside. But hey! time for aftermarket upgrade?

These light bulbs are just like the one in ur house, they all have roughly same life span.

Well, not exactly the best news, but I appreciate the feedback.
