Why do you "Strongly Dis-like" the Charger?
ORIGINAL: Viper-GTS
You could say that possibly, and I agree to some standpoint. But then again that Ferrari FXX I think it was, has an automatic. It's pure performance packed into one beast.

In no particular order of preference:
-the grill/lights
-the whole fat stumpy front end, want one just so I can name it "Puggy"
-the advertising, abundance of contradictions, and let's just say "stuff", "hints, almosts, and kindas', oh my!"
-the slamming of the orginals, abundance of contradictions, and "stuff" from those who support it as a/The Charger
-the back end, the every-other-car-ness of it, lines, lights, hardware, bumpers, etc.
-the stance
-the back window
-the C-pillars
-the roof line
-the 4 doors
-the sides
-the overall proportions
-the interior
-the hood scoop on the SRT-8
-the Daytona R/T
-no manual trans option
-the "importness" in the styling
-the lack of Charger styling that could have been revived from the original bloodline of vehicles that made the name
-ugly-mean, if I hear once more how this thing looks mean, my head's gonna pop
All for now.
For the record, I understand *what* they were/are trying to do. Problem is, out of both stories or pictures being painted with the extremely wide brush, only one has significant paint sticking to the canvas -- the other is mostly vapour.
I just think they could have still shot for their goals and not disappointed so many in the process.
Or. Could have used another name.

i like the SRT8 front end Alot more...but i really think that they should have done more with the *** end. maybe some lower fascia work, with the exhaust coming through it?
HAHAHA... I love reading posts from those 'New Charger' haters out there... You are indeed a breed of your own... Everytime (and it happens multiple times each day) I get in that car, I either get a wave, a thumbs up or a car wanting to race. When I park the car in public, I cannot mention the amount of draw it gets from those walking past, around it or looking into it. Give it up guys... The new charger is here to stay and has a HUGE following...
Really, there isn't much I dislike about the new Charger... Sure I would like a RWD V8, Manual Tranny coupe like the rest of you, but I still like the Charger as is.
Make mine dark grey with the Road and Track package, no sunroof please..
P.S. Just for the record, I have owned several classic mopars, including a 70 Charger SE, 383 with the big ole' honkin 4 speed and no console. I still like the new charger and don't mind the name being re-used. Times are different now, and cars are different. One thing remains, both will put you back in your seat.

there we go, the real general public is simply drawn to it.
I like it, most of the time but the main reason why it isn't a two door is that US customers do not buy two door coupes. Marketing studies have proven that.
I think the only reason I would choose a Charger over the Magnum is that I would be able to get the 3.5L V6 with a 5-speed. Make mine black, lowered suspension, CAI and a nice Flowmaster exhaust.

if they were to have done the charger right as a midsize coupe in the 3400ish lbs. weight range with the 5.7 hemi it and retro styling it would sell like hotcakes just like the new mustang as opposed to it's poor sales right now, it's the worst selling of the LX cars atm.
