Understandable. But as mentioned above a lot of folks are waiting around for the SRT-8 to come out and that will make quite a stir especially with the pricing being around upper $35K - there will likely be many more on the streets around DC and MD.

I love how every one just complains that "the interior is too plain" or "they should offer the 4.7 HO as engine in the SXT. If they were to do either of these ideas...the cost of the car would go even higher. The 4.7 HO would tack on $2000-$3000 to base price. If the interior were to be more fancy or luxurious....that would cost more.

I live in Michigan....near Auburn Hills, and i see all of the LX line ALL over the place. They can't keep them in the dealer. My mom will be turning in her 04' Grand Cherokee for one of the LX line cars. I would have to agree on the Mustang. You see them all over the place b/c they are sooo cheap. Thats why they're known as the poor man's race car. I still can't belive they offer a V6 Mustang, i think thats hillarious!

I personally love the new chargers. I think the front end is VERY agressive. I love the interior, especially with the Navigation, lol.

Obviously you have no idea about building cars. The 4.7 is the fourth least expensive engine in the corp to make. The 3.5 is the fifth. So actually it would be cheaper to put a 4.7 in it instead. And according to your thought process, every Chrysler should have the same interior to save money. That is just wrong. That is called brand engineering. Anyone remember the 80's. All three of them did it. Same cars different names and badging. That worked out real well didn't it? Most of the lx's around here are 300's. Remember how a dealer could not even keep them on a lot? Thats not really a problem this time.

The 3.5 was picked for internal reasons. Mainly because it is built at kenosha engine. Tom Lasorda's home plant. He has been screwing several other engine plants to keep his old friends working. But that is another subject.

What I do find funny about this thread is that it was created because a few other members were whining about the negative comments about the charger in other threads. So maybe those of us that do not like the charger should start whining about those that do like it commenting in our thread!

Just because the 4.7 costs less, doesnt mean that they are going to sell it for less then the v6. Why would they, that'd be stupid on their part. If you could get a dakota with 4.7 HO for cheaper then the V6...why would anyone buy the V6? (just for example, yes i know the Dak has the 3.7)

And no, not every Chrysler should have the same interior. But, people already complain how expensive the LX cars are, why would they make the interior anybetter, and raise the price even more? For example, thats one reason why the Grand Cherokee is soo expensive. The interior is so fancy in them. Along with a bunch of other factors. But i am a firm beliver of "you get what you pay for."

As the current owner of a Dodge Magnum I was shocked when I looked inside my first Charger. It looked just like my car. To me they could have changed the interior in some ways to give the Charger some uniqueness over the Magnum. Someone in here stated it should be called a Magnum sedan instead and I totally agree...if the inside is going to look like a Magnum name it as such. I do like the front end on the Charger but cannot get used to the rearend. It does scream Gallant and is not unique enough. I am 50 years old so I remember the old muscle cars and feel that Chrysler should try and reproduce cars that look closer to their predecessors if that is possible. Cant wait to see the new Challenger when it comes out.
