The Charger simply is not in the same class as the Mustang. It is the SEDAN that replaces the Intrepid. Why would they build a SEDAN with two doors? lol

Ford has managed, with the Mustang, to do what no other US auto maker has done; create and maintain a reasonably priced sporty car model without alienating a large portion of their customer base in the process, which has happened with the Charger and GTO.
The bitterness over the Charger in particular is amply evidenced on this board alone, and so it goes on many web boards for Chrysler enthusiasts.
Whether you're one who likes the new Charger or dislikes it, or you just think the car is wearing the wrong nametag, you've got to admit that there is controversy.
Not so with the Mustang; at least not to a significant degree, and furthermore, people (like me) who would never buy a Ford still admire the new Mustang.
So how many are out there who would rather buy a Dodge, but are willing to buy a Ford just to get a two door coupe with RWD, V8, manual tranny?
Those are the numbers everyone, including the big boys at DCX, will need to count.

wait who is wearing the mis colored glasses, is the the dumb Americans who think the mustang is a god and worship it. it is ridiculous. we can see fine. we don't like the name on the charger, so some of us wont buy it. there is no other problem, all that we have to do is wait for a good 2 door car unlike the mustang.

Again, it's proven that it's just the name tag, that people are upset over........
Edit: Existence as the 4 door. Pick another name, or keep the current car, but not the Charger unless it's going to be a coupe.
