Default 2015 Charger, extremely low mpg.

Hi,
I am new to the forum, or, let's say, new to the Charger even fall in love with it for years. Bought my first car which is a 15 Charger RT last month and fell in love with it real quick. But the only thing that's problematic for my car is that it simply drinks too many gases. I understand fro a 5.7 Liter it supposes to be that way, but my car is doing somewhere around 8 MPG in the city, giving the fact that I am not driving too spritely. Like maybe 1 heavy sprint in per 2 days. I understand in winter times it drinks more gases since winter tires put more grip on the ground, but it's still questionable to me that it can be that bad. Any suggestions on where it may have a problem? Any help will be so useful to me right now.
Thank you guys so much, really appreciate it.

Should still be under warranty. Take it in to the dealer and let them look at it.

You have a 370/375hp V8 hauling around a 4500+ pound brick. Few questions:
1. Do you actually have that soft a foot around town? I have 3 hemi vehicles, I know just how hard it is to not wanna stomp on the skinny pedal for fun.
2. Is your MDS working? Even around town this should still be working trying to save you fuel.
3. What fuel are you putting in it?
4. Is it modified?
5. What gear ratio does it have?
