Thanks, but it turned out the pan was leaking, the previous owner tried to fix a hole with jb weld..Replaced pan last night & just waiting for the gasket sealant to cure before adding fluid & testing, Thank you for your help....Sam

How did he manage to put a hole in the trans pan? That's a neat trick.

Hopefully, you have your issue solved.

I have no idea,maybe road debris, it was patched with maybe jb weld and you could only notice the leak if there was more than 2.5 qts. of fluid in the pan. Then even after being parked for a week in the same spot not a drop until you added fluid, like the patch was weight sensitive. Anyway got a new pan and going to install today. But I bought at auction so I expected some issues, but for $1800., the rest of the car is in excellent shape with 124K miles so......Hopefully
