Default Chrysler 300 5.7 Hemi knock
I replaced all of the lifters on the 5.7 due to knocking. Found camshaft lobe completely destroyed. Install new camshaft and all new lifters. During idle or acceleration there is still a loud knock noise. As soon as you are cruising and MDS kicks on all of the noise goes away. It runs as quiet as a mouse. Any ideas

Recheck your valve gear, specifically on cylinders 1, 4, 6 & 7. If the noise goes away when MDS engages it's something with one of those cylinders.

Really? All the stuff related to the valve train...did you do this yourself?
