Angry Touch Screen Went Crazy

The touch screen on my 2018 Charger RT went absolutely crazy this week. It started a few months ago with on-again/off-again "do you want to reset your clock" messages. Because of COVID, I did not want to take it in and thought it was a software glitch that would be corrected with the next update. This week, it went completely crazy. It is constantly and randomly making its own inputs on the radio, AC/Heater/ media screens. Air and heat go from full blast to off, hot to cold over and over. I have to drive the car with the radio and AC off, no bluetooth, no phone, no nav.

I took it to the dealer and they want $1000+ to replace the radio because I''m at 38,000 miles (2,000 miles over warranty). The dealer has not been helpful to this point. I am hoping there is someone that has been through this and can help. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

SWAG, disconnect the battery for 30 mins or so to reset everything.

Default Update

I spoke with the Dealership again this morning and was told that the screen itself is delaminating from the top down, which is triggering all of the virtual "buttons" constantly. They have seen this quite a bit and said they don't know of a repair short of replacement of the entire radio.

Click on her Username, which will take you to her profile. Right below her username, will be the "send message" link, with a dropdown arrow. Click the arrow, and select "send private message".

Default Frustrated

My used challenger I just bought is now doing the same exact thing. Can I send a direct message to fix this too?

Good Morning Alison and the DodgeCares team. Are you able to discuss how to resolve this issue with me as well? I am experiencing the exact same thing. Sounds like a recall should be implemented.
